Volunteer Cat Fosterer

New Leaf Animal Society focuses on the Human-Animal Bond and Interaction when rehoming its animals. We are a micro-organisation who primarily focus on improving cat ownership and the successful rehoming of unwanted/relinquished cats. Over time we hope to expand to other species such as dogs and small pets.

To achieve this, we rely on our cat fosterers to provide a safe temporary home whilst the cats in our care are between homes. As a cat fosterer you will love to be hands on with cats and be understanding of the different temperaments and personalities which will come through your door. You understand being a foster will mean working outside of normal hours and no matter how long the foster is with you there will come a time to say goodbye and wish them well in their new home.

This is a rare opportunity to learn, develop your skills and rescue cats in need of a safe home.

Line Management: You will report to the Director and work alongside the board and other volunteers where relevant.

Location: The role is flexible across Fife, Perth & Kinross, Clackmannanshire & Stirlingshire with in person and virtual meetings required.

Time commitment: 24/7 when a foster is with you and up 6 hours initial training.
