ABOUT NEW LEAF ANIMAL SOCIETY
New Leaf Animal Society provides a safe place for cats needing a new home. We look to rehome cats in our care with their pur-fectly matched adopter. Working to support good, long-term, healthy relationships between owner and pet by building a foundation of understanding and respect for pet ownership.
Founded in 2019, by Kirsty Moran and Bhavna Nair, MSc Human-Animal Interaction graduates from the University of Stirling the charity is known for improving pet ownership, relationships and incorporating research and education into its adoption process. Founded with a core purpose to be pioneers in building and delivering Research, Education, Fostering and Adoption programmes within the Human Behaviour Change (HBC), Animal Welfare and Adoption Sectors.
New Leaf Animal Society's vision is to positively change attitudes towards animals. Contributing towards HBC by refining the Animal Welfare and Adoption Sector. Working to make research accessible to the public through our platforms and by raising awareness we hope to reach out to both animals and humans who could benefit from our accessible services.
We want our work and ethos to contribute towards a symbiotic society where the Human-Animal relationship is equally defined by respect, understanding, knowledge and love; giving our supporters, volunteers and new pet parents the skills to impact and change the future of animal welfare and adoption.
In the end our work will reduce the number of relinquished and stray animals.
